Ukraine’s General Staff said 206 combat clashes took place across the battlefield on 2 November. Its update, published on Telegram with information current as of 08:00 on 3 November, detailed Russian assaults and Ukrainian defensive actions on several fronts, alongside areas where no Russian offensive activity was reported.

On the North Slobozhanshchyna front and in the operational zone in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, Russian troops carried out eight assaults, according to the update. They also launched two airstrikes involving five guided aerial bombs. The General Staff reported a further 58 strikes against Ukrainian troop positions and settlements, including four involving multiple-launch rocket systems.

Ukrainian forces repelled 10 attacks on the South Slobozhanshchyna front. Those attacks took place around Izbytske, Hrafske, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, Shabelne, Chuhunivka and Ambarne. On the Kupiansk front, the General Staff recorded three Russian attacks directed towards Radkivka.

The General Staff said Ukrainian troops also stopped Russian efforts to breach their defences on the Lyman front. It recorded nine attacks towards Nove, Kolodiazi, Lyman, Zarichne and Dibrova. On the neighbouring section of its report covering the Sloviansk front, it said Ukrainian forces repelled an attempted Russian advance in the Yampil area.

The Kostiantynivka front accounted for 21 Russian attacks in the update. Russian forces assaulted positions near the village of Kostiantynivka and sought to advance towards Druzhkivka, Novoselivka, Raiske, Sofiivka, Kucheriv Yar and Vilne, the General Staff reported.

On the Pokrovsk front, Russian troops launched 13 attacks. Their attempts to move forward were directed towards seven settlements listed in the report: Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Chernihivka, Svitle, Dobropillia, Myrne and Serhiivka.

Seven Russian attacks against Ukrainian positions were recorded on the Huliaipole front, with attempted advances towards Uspishne, Ternuvate, Hirke and Charivne. The Orikhiv front saw one Russian attack, directed towards Chervona Krynytsia, according to the same battlefield update.

The General Staff reported no Russian offensive actions on either the Kramatorsk or Oleksandrivka fronts. It also said Russian forces had not carried out offensive actions on the Prydniprovske front during the previous 24 hours.

For the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the update said there was no evidence that Russian offensive groups were being formed in those areas. That assessment was included in the General Staff’s account of the battlefield situation as of the morning of 3 November.
