Israeli bakery chain Maafe Neeman has announced unchanged prices for its 2026 Hanukkah doughnut collection, keeping its classic jam-filled offering at NIS 6 and premium varieties at NIS 14. The holiday selection includes new cream fillings, chocolate coatings and crunchy toppings alongside traditional choices.

The company said it would cover increases in ingredient costs, including flour, instead of passing those expenses on to customers. Its strawberry jam, dulce de leche and premium doughnuts will all sell for the same prices as last year, according to the chain. The collection is available at its 78 branches across Israel.

Filled, fried doughnuts, called sufganiyot in Hebrew, are a customary part of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival. The tradition of eating foods fried in oil recalls the holiday account of a small quantity of oil that kept the Temple’s menorah alight for eight days. Jam is the familiar filling, but the chain’s collection also features pastry creams and combinations of chocolate, cookies and cereal.

Among the new varieties is a doughnut combining pistachio cream with milk chocolate and kadaif, the thin pastry strands used in Middle Eastern desserts. Another option pairs Oreo cream with crushed cookies. The cornflake-inspired version has a cream filling flavored like milk and cereal, finished with a coating of white chocolate.

The premium selection also includes vanilla pastry cream paired with raspberry, chocolate combined with buttery biscuit cream, and nougat cream finished with cereal pieces. These sit alongside the simpler filled varieties, giving customers a choice between the classic doughnuts and the collection’s more elaborate combinations.

Customers choosing dulce de leche, a caramel-like milk filling, will pay NIS 8 per doughnut. Separate ring doughnuts come in flavors including chocolate, pistachio and Oreo, priced at NIS 12 each or two for NIS 20. The bakery will also sell sugar-coated sfenj, Moroccan fried doughnuts, for NIS 10 each.

Mimi Neeman, the chain’s co-owner and chief recipe developer, said the decision to absorb higher raw material costs was intended to help families enjoy Hanukkah without increasing their expenses. She said the bakery wanted to maintain that approach while continuing to create new flavors for its holiday offering.
